TGATG # 7

One whole week of The Good and The Grateful (TGATG)! This has been such a fun little challenge and something I definitely want to keep up. I have loved thinking back on each day and focusing on the positive. There is something to be grateful every day, that’s for sure!

On Tuesdays I take Lottie to work with me. It is such a blessing to be able to be with her, but it also requires a lot of extra work, multi tasking, and lots of trips up and down the stairs. My office building is pretty old, and there is not an elevator and my office is on the second floor. I joke that I pack up the whole house on Tuesdays and carry it up the stairs because that is what it feels like! Between her diaper bag, my work bag, a lunch box, the Dock a Tot, and Lottie herself, my hands are pretty full.

By the time I pack everything back up and load us back into the car to go home and then unpack the car and put away all of the extra items from the day, the last thing I want to do is make dinner. Enter the best type of text from Matt’s dad: an offer to bring us dinner and visit with us and Lottie. Day made! They picked up our favorite pizza and salad from Cappy’s and we had a great evening with them! I was thankful for the time with family, the excuse to eat pizza, the kitchen that was kept clean, and the blessing of not needing to cook.
