TGATG #10

I love magazines. I love opening the mailbox and seeing it rolled up. I love reading the articles and looking through the pictueres. Magazines are so nostalgic to me and remind me of days where you would cut out pictures for a craft or cut out recipes to try. In college I had a subscription to Southern Living. I love the magazines and always looked forward to the day it would arrive. I even kept a few years of magazines convinced that I would go back through them one day. Spoiler: I didn’t go back through them and have since thrown the outdated copies away.

So imagine my delight when I checked the mailbox and there was a rolled up bundle of glossy pages. At first I thought it was a catalog or coupon flyer, but when I opended it up I saw that it was the August/September issue of the Focus on the Family magazine. My parents always get these, put I have never subscribed. I think we must have been added to the mailing listt since Matt has signed up for a golf trip with them next spring.

I started bouncing around from article to article and before the day was over, I realzied I had read the entire thing! I loved the article on communication, the parenting tips, and the story of a couple’s challenges throughout their marriage. I am so grateful that I was added to the list and it absolutely made my day to keep coming back to this read.
