I am so thankful for my mama! Yesterday was her birthday and she is just the easiest to celebrate! Unfortunately, I was not with her, but I will be tomorrow and we are going to celebrate it up this weekend. If you know her, you for sure love her. She would do anything for one of her kids, can make a full dinner out of whatever she happens to have on hand, and is probably wearing a dress and wedges. If it’s 6:00 am, she is up and going and has probably accomplished more than most will by 10:00 am. But if it is 9:00 pm, she will need to circle back with you tomorrow.
She has a special talent for writing poems. When we were little, she would write a poem on a note and put it in our lunch box. She will sometimes text a poem on a special day, or include one on an invitation. Her mind is always creative. In honor of my mama, here is a little poem about her:
Yesterday was her birthday
There is so much I could say
She is a lover of Christmas
A big fan of citrus
She loves to stretch
She’s always looking fetch
She can handle it all
The big and the small
Whether it’s her preteen
(Whose room is not pristine)
Or one of her daughters
Or one of the lawyers
She always has a listening ear
And words of encouragement for them to hear
Her house is always festive
Holidays are super impressive
She got it from her mama
Learned how to bring the drama
They make the best bows
And always have pretty toes
I want to be just like Mary Beth
I just love her to death
