TGATG #21

While I might be a few days behind, I am definitely not short of things to be grateful for.

This weekend at home was so good. It was so nice to be able to be with my family. When I am at my parents’ house, it is like I can fully rest. I think it is because there are very few reasons to feel guilty about reading or taking a nap or watching a show. There are no extra projects that I could be going. No errands, no laundry, nothing! I try to always help my mom with making meals and cleaning up, but other than that, there are only so many chores that need to be done in someone else’s home. Plus having the extra help with Lottie is amazing! My family loves to love on her and it is just the best!

On Friday night my dad’s parents came over for dinner and to see Lottie. They could not get over how quickly she has gown! Lottie is not only the first grandchild on both sides, but she is also the first great-grandchilden in my entire family and the first great-grandchild of Matt’s living grandparents.

On Saturday night my mom’s parents came over to celebrate my mom’s birthday for cuddles with Lottie. They had not seen her since she was about four weeks old! They live about fifty minutes away from my parents, so it is a lot more convenient for them to meet with us there than to drive the two-plus hours to our house.

How cute is this? My grandfather took these pictures so unfortunately he is not in it as well!

My mom loves key lime pie (who doesn’t?!) so we had this frozen key lime pie for dessert. It is a favorite in our family and definitely a summer recipe to try!
