I am so thankful for my church. Yesterday the power went out about fifteen minutes before our first service. Something happened, and the entire neighborhood was out. Our staff pivoted so well! Emergency lights were on, the worship band played acoustic guitar, the drums were on the Cajon, and we sang traditional songs that everyone would know since the lyrics were not on the projectors. It was such a worshipful experience. Our pastor had his phone light turned on on the podium to read his notes and just projected his message.

Since the AC was out, it was definitely very warm in the sanctuary with so many people. But besides the AC, nothing else was really missing. Thankfully, the power came back on in time for the second service. We also were showing the movie, Sound of Freedom that afternoon. If the power would have stayed off, it would have been too hot in the building and we obviously could not have shown the film.

I am just so grateful that everything worked out and that we were able to have such a worshipful service even when nothing went to plan.
