I love bank holidays! Matt gets very few holidays off, but he was off this Labor Day. I had grandiose plans of being Tampa tourists. I wanted to go to the St. Pete pier, get coffee somewhere on Waterstreet, or go to the Aquarium… but I was sick. The day was mainly spent on and off the couch.

Fortunately for Matt, he got to golf and had a fun morning. I think that Lottie is also under the weather, and the two of us took lots of naps! Matt made me soup, and his parents came over to help with dinner and Lottie’s nighttime routine. I was grateful for some extra hands.

I did make some homemade bread which was fun! This bread is actually super easy to make! I have made multiple variations of this receipe and it is a no fail every time. It went perfectly with the soup.

While it isn’t fun to be sick on a long weekend, it was nice that I didn’t have to take time off of work. The extra snuggles with Lottie definitely made the day better, though!
